The LvivMozArt International Festival of Classical Music and the Borys Voznytskyi National Art Gallery of Lviv cordially invite you to attend the the exhibition entitled 'The Requiem as the Beginning .From Unsolved Mysteries to the Musical Life in the First Half of the 19th Century', which displays unique historical manuscripts,notations and items.
There is hardly any piece in the music history which is more symbolic than the 'Requiem' by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart left unfinished. It proved fatal to the life of the author himself, and immediately after his death and to the present day it has been the pretext for manipulations and unsolved mysteries.
Additionally,the 'Requiem' exerted significant influence on the life of Franz Xaver Mozart, the son of W.A.Mozart,becoming the beginning of a new stage in his professional activities, as well as a further step in the development of the musical culture in Lviv.
